One Hundred Miles From Home About the Author Carol Rainey was born in Cincinnati in 1942 and received a doctorate in English from the University of Cincinnati. She has taught in Wisconsin and Boston, as well as at several colleges in the Cincinnati area. She co-edited an anthology of American women's poetry, Psyche: The Feminine Poetic Consciousness (1973) and also edited Night Singer: The Collected Poems of Frank D. Moore (2008). Since the 1980s she has been active in the anti-war and anti-nuclear movements, at one time serving as the coordinator of the Cincinnati chapter of the Nuclear Freeze. A collection of autobiographical pieces, A Fine Morning: Stories of a Cincinnati Childhood, was published in 2009. Back to One Hundred Miles From Home info |
